Winter Winds

High in the cascading mountains
where man will seldom go.
Winter sets in quickly, and the
winds begin to blow.

Not a creature in the forest, can
escape it's bitter bite, as it rages
in it's fury to chill the dark of night.

It bends down mighty conifers, that
stand within it's path. Leaving frost,
snow, and bitter cold as it's chilling
aftermath.

But quickly as they came the winter
winds have gone, and the forest lies
in peace at the breaking of the dawn.
