2010 Another Year Ends

As this year draws quickly to a close, I have thought about what it has brought into my life.  I have some mixed feelings about the past 12 months.  I think that Linda and I have been blessed in many ways.

In November I got to fullfill my longtime dream of seeing the Grand Canyon in Arizona.  We spent three days there and had a great time.  Even the long drive across the Arizona desert had it's good moments.  We saw the old Route 66 many places along the way and got some nice photographs.

I was very surprised at the air museum we visited near the entrance to Grand Canyon.  It was very interesting and had many old planes that were in condition to fly.  There were many old autos there also.  I was amazed to see an old prop airliner sitting outside on display.  The suprise was that it had been flown into the airfield next to the museum.

My first look at Grand Canyon took my breath.  I had seen many movies but was not prepared to see the real thing.  It was overwhelming.  Linda and I hiked a couple of miles on a trail along the rim that provided opertunities for some nice photos.

After a week in Arizona, we both headed to our home again, happy and tired.
